Deep well drilling typically requires a five-stage solids control system. Today, HL Petroleum will introduce the solids control equipment for each stage of this system. The particle size to be removed at each stage determines the required equipment.

Level 1 Solids Control

Removal of Large Particles. The drilling fluid returning from the bottom of the well contains larger drill cuttings. The drilling fluid enters a shale shaker through the connecting pipe from the wellhead to Tank #1. The شاكر الصخر الزيتي separates drill cuttings larger than 74μm, completing Level 1 solids control.

Level 2 Solids Control

Gas Removal. A جهاز تفريغ الغازات is a specialized drilling fluid treatment device used to remove gases that have entered the drilling fluid during the drilling process. It can quickly and effectively remove gases (including air) from the drilling fluid. The degasser plays a crucial role in restoring drilling fluid density and preventing potential blowouts and well collapses.

Level 3 Solids Control

Removal of Larger Particles. The drilling fluid, after being treated by a vibrating screen, enters a desander. The desander separates larger sand particles (44μm–74μm) from the drilling fluid, completing the desandering process, which is the third stage of solids control.

Level 4 Solids Control

removing small particles—removes the drilling fluid from the desander. The desilter separates smaller sand particles (15μm–44μm) from the drilling fluid, completing the mud removal process, which is the fourth stage of solids control.

Level 5 Solids Control

removing even smaller particles—removes the drilling fluid from the desilter. The centrifuge separates even smaller sand particles (2μm–15μm) from the drilling fluid, completing the centrifugation process, which is the fifth stage of solids control.

The five-stage solids control system serves primarily complex and demanding well conditions. In practical use, operators can customize it to meet the specific needs of drilling operations.
