Mud agitator drilling overview

Mud agitator drilling is installed on the mud circulation tank. In order to ensure the uniform performance of drilling fluid and suspend solid phase particles, accelerate the mixing, reaction and dissolution of drilling fluid additives, the solids control agitator increases the contact area between the phase boundaries and makes the two phases interact at a higher speed.

Suspending solid phase particles in drilling fluid is the main function of solids control mixer. Drill cuttings are the main component of harmful solid phases. To remove harmful solid phases, you must suspend them before injecting them into desanders, desilters, and centrifuges. You also need to stir and suspend useful solid phases evenly, such as various weighting materials (hematite powder, barite powder) and a small amount of bentonite. This ensures the drilling fluid’s density and other properties remain stable. Therefore, the solids control agitator must work reliably and continuously to prevent solid phase release and precipitation.
