Desilter pump, also knowns as sand pump, is centrifugal sand pump primarily used in the circulating solids control systems of oilfield drilling rigs. They provide a certain flow rate and pressure of drilling fluid to desanders, desilters, and slurry mixers. They are suitable for use with 1000-7000 rigs.
Compared to conventional pumps, this pump is heavier, sturdier, and more durable. Its exceptional strength allows for thicker walls than standard pumps, resulting in a relatively long lifespan. This centrifugal design ensures consistent axial clearance between the impeller and the pump body. This pump delivers streamlined fluid flow, even without interrupting flow. The pump body features an annular flow channel, eliminating vortexes and cavitation, and reducing radial loads on the bearings. Due to the pump’s reasonable inlet pipe diameter, its required suction pressure is relatively low. The pump body seal features a grooved structure to prevent fluid from escaping the impeller.
