What are the principles for using and installing a desilter? A drilling fluid desilter primarily consists of a shale shaker, a diverter manifold, and a cyclone. A desilter is a tertiary solids control device used in the drilling fluid sistem de control al solidelor, primarily used to separate solids with a particle size of 15-47μm from the drilling fluid. The quality of the desilter directly impacts the properties of the drilling fluid and, in turn, the quality of the drilling operation.
Desilter Usage Principles
1. First, start the small shale shaker, then the pompă de desiltrare. Check whether the desilter pump discharge pressure meets the requirements, check the desilting performance, and check the cyclone for leaks.
2. Check that the motor’s rotation direction matches the arrow on its protective cover. Otherwise, the shale shaker will not discharge sand.
3. Check the pressure gauge to see if it is within the operating pressure range (0.2-0.4 MPa).
4. The screen is tightened and replaced using the hinge levers at both ends.
5. Amplitude adjustment: First, open the hood and adjust the eccentric blocks at both ends of the motor shaft in the same direction and angle, generally to 60-80% of the maximum excitation force.
6. Adjust the ciclon underflow nut so that the underflow is discharged in an umbrella-shaped jet.
7. When not in use, shut down the sand pump and the vibration motor. Drain the drilling fluid from the cyclone to prevent solidification or freezing. Rinse the screen thoroughly and inspect all parts for any abnormalities.
Desilter Installation Principles
1. Place the desilter base horizontally and securely secure it to the tank with four pressure plates. Ensure the screen box outlet protrudes 20-30 mm from the tank edge.
2. Connect the inlet and outlet ports securely with rubber or steel pipes. Ensure the inlet and outlet pipes match.
3. Loosen the four vibrating screens and tighten them with the compression bolts for transport.
4. Before use, check all bolts for looseness and the smooth rotation of the vibrating shaft. Any unusual noises or malfunctions should be corrected immediately. Only use the equipment after confirming normal operation.
5. Connect the motor belt, turn on the power, and check that the motor is rotating in the correct direction.
