The mud tank valve is suitable for pipelines and compartments in drilling mud tanks that use mud as the medium. It serves as a control valve for suction and discharge, and also as a switch for compartment balance control. This valve has a compact structure, reasonable design, and incorporates years of experience. It utilizes a valve-type seal, resulting in a longer service life and more stable performance.
Function of the Mud Tank Valve:
Applied to the bottom suction pipeline of the mud tank, it is a control valve for suction operations of mud from each tank, realizing the integration of the suction manifold within the tank and operation from the tank surface. This integration of the manifold and the mud tank body facilitates installation and transportation.
Structure of the Bottom Valve:
It adopts an end-face sealing valve plate and a rotary lifting mechanism, realizing the connection and isolation of the bottom pipeline. This involves the engagement and disengagement of the valve plate and the sealing seat. The main components include the valve body, valve stem, handwheel, lifting rod, valve plate, and bearings.
Working principle of mud tank valve:
Rotating the handwheel drives the lead screw, causing the valve stem to move up and down, which in turn lifts the valve plate, thus disengaging the valve plate from the sealing seat and completing the opening and closing action of the valve body.
Advantages of the bottom valve:
Operation achieves surface control of the mud tank, saving effort, convenient and practical, with good stability in the open and closed state.
