Below are common faults and recommended solutions to ensure optimal performance:

- Packing Seal Leakage/Wear
- Cause: Over-tightening of the gland causing excessive heat and wear.
- Solution: Remove packing. Use a 90° bent wire to probe for deep grooves on the sleeve; replace the sleeve if damaged. Ensure the gland is not over-tightened.
- Polyurethane Oil Seal Failure
- Cause: Normal wear and tear.
- Solution: Replace the polyurethane oil seal. It is recommended to replace the oil seal and shaft sleeve every 3 to 6 months of operation.
- Burned Packing
- Cause: Overheating due to excessive compression.
- Solution: Replace the packing. Adjust the gland to the correct torque to prevent heat buildup.
- Abnormal Impeller/Rotator Rotation
- Cause: Insufficient clearance between the impeller/rotator and the guard plate or stuffing box.
- Solution: Adjust clearance using bolts and nuts. Always perform a manual rotation test afterward to ensure smooth operation without grinding noises.
