The mud gun drilling relies on the high-pressure liquid flow in the mud pipeline to generate high-pressure jet impact force through the mud gun nozzle, flushing the sediment at the bottom of the drilling mud tank to suspend it. The main functions of the mud gun are: assisting the mud agitator; preventing sediment from settling in the corners of the mud tank, the bottom edge of the mud tank, and the suction port of each pump, and then stirring it evenly by the agitator. For a period of time after the agitator stops running, the precipitated sediment will bury the agitator impeller. Before you re-run it, the mud gun can reduce some of the resistance when the agitator starts, which guarantees normal operation.
Classification of mud gun drilling
Mud gun drilling divides into high-pressure guns and low-pressure guns. The drilling pump discharge branch supplies the high-pressure mud gun, and its pressure level can reach 1~6MPa. As for the low-pressure gun, the sand pump supplies it, and its working pressure level is 0.2~0.3MPa. In general, you should determine the number of mud guns based on the number of mud agitators.
The drilling mud mixing gun mainly prevents mud from settling in the drilling mud tank. It is a special tool for tank bottom flushing. There are three types of mud guns: low-pressure mud guns, medium-pressure mud guns and high-pressure mud guns. The mud guns produced have good spraying effect and large cleaning area. The equipment has a simple structure, flexible operation and easy use.

How to install a mud gun
We usually install the drilling fluid gun about 6in (about 15cm) from the bottom of the tank, and it has a 360° tap that allows us to adjust the direction and stir the dead point.
Dead points may occur in right-angle tanks due to insufficient mechanical stirring or some piping or mechanical accidents.
