These agitators use a gear transmission system.
Disadvantages: They generally have lower working reliability and are more complex to install. They can also be easily damaged during movement.
Advantages: Their reducer employs a single-stage worm. This design results in a compact structure, light weight, stable transmission, and low noise. They also provide high transmission power.
Worm Gear Transmission Agitators
In contrast, worm gear agitators feature a direct worm gear drive and often utilize a belt drive structure.
Key Characteristic: While typically larger in size, their notable advantage lies in their soft transmission. This “softness” provides significant protection for the motor against overload, which can be crucial in demanding drilling environments.
At present, the most commonly used mud agitators on the market are worm gear transmission structures. The worm gear transmission structure is simple, the speed ratio is large, and the working reliability is high. The application effect in the drilling fluid agitator is obviously better than the drilling fluid agitator with a gear transmission structure.
